How we advertise for tenders

To meet the Council's constitution and the EC Procurement Directives, we advertise tenders in local publications. 

For contracts worth more than £144,371 (2006 equivalent of Euros 211,000), we are legally bound to advertise in the Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union. The journal's Tenders Direct website is a good place to look for business with the public sector.

Whatever the value, we place all tender advertisements in Oxford's local newspapers:

• Oxford Mail
• Oxford Times 

All tender advertisements are also placed on the Tenders Available web page. Why not make this page one of your favourites for easy reference in the future? 

We may also advertise in appropriate trade journals.
