Difficulty paying your Council Tax

If you find that you are having difficulty in paying your Council Tax, the first thing you should do is contact the Council by ringing the Council Tax Helpline during office hours on 01865 252870.

We may be able to rearrange your instalments to make them more manageable. We can also advise you as to whether you may be entitled to any reduction in your bill.

You may also be entitled to Council Tax Benefit or Second Adult Rebate. To find out more visit our Benefits pages.

Our Benefits staff are trained to advise you on a range of Welfare Benefits as well as Housing and Council Tax Benefit.

We want to help you to pay your Council Tax bill

If you are having problems paying debts to companies or organisations outside the Council there is help and advice available to you. Visit our Advice Centres page for contact details.
