Disabled Toilets - RADAR Key Scheme

The RADAR key scheme is a nationally recognised scheme that provides access to some disabled toilets via a key. Keys are available from the Tourist Information Centre, 15/16 Broad Street, Oxford. Registered disabled applicants can purchase a key at a cost of £3.50.

To find out more about RADAR keys visit the RADAR website.

 Changing Places Toilet

Standard accessible toilets (disabled toilets) do not meet the needs of all people with a disability - or their carers.  Many people with profound and multiple learning disabilities need someone to support them to use the toilet, or require the use of a height adjustable changing bench where a carer can safely change their continence pad. They also need a hoisting system so they can be helped to transfer safely from their wheelchair to the toilet or changing bench.

There is a Changing Places toilet situated in the Shopmobility Unit at the Westgate Car Park, Norfolk Street, Oxford. It is next to the Car Park Office and is open 8.30am - 6.00 pm.

For more information about Changing Places Toilets nationally go to the Changing Places website.
