We are responsible for parking enforcement in Council owned car parks. The tariff boards at each of our car parks indicate the level of charge payable and the regulations governing each car park. Any infringement may result in an excess penalty of £100 being issued. These penalties must be paid within 28 days of issue. If payment is received within 14 days, a reduced amount of £50 will be accepted.
Oxfordshire County Council is responsible for parking enforcement in other parts of the city including on-street parking and controlled parking zones in residential areas.
Payment details are given on the back of the penalty notice.
If your parking ticket was issued by Oxford City Council, visit our Payments page to pay online using a credit or debit card.
Payment can also be made using a credit or debit card by telephoning the 24 hour automated line on 01865 252609 or you can send us a cheque in the post.
Please note: You can only use our website or the phone number above to pay parking fines that were issued in off street car parks managed and operated by Oxford City Council. These parking fine reference numbers consist of 6 digits commencing with either a 0, 3 or 9.
If your parking ticket was issued by Oxfordshire County Council (reference numbers starting with OX), visit the Parking Fines page of their website for full details on how to pay. This includes bus lane enforcement fines.
Appeals should be sent in writing as soon as practicable to the address given on the back of the penalty notice.
If you have a query about your parking fine, please email carparks@oxford.gov.uk or call us on 01865 252489.
