Drayton programmer
We will be fitting these programmers in all our homes with gas central heating. We will show you how they work when we install a new system or when you first move in to a Council home.
‘Helpful Tips about Your Gas Supply’

Servicing your heating system
- Your heating system must, by law, be serviced by us once a year and a gas safety check carried out at the same time. This is for your own safety but it also helps you by making sure that your heating system is working efficiently.
- We will write you a letter asking you for a date or giving a date when we will come to do the gas servicing.
- You must make arrangements to be in on that day, but if you would like us to come on a different day, you should phone the Contact Centre immediately.
If you don’t allow us to service your system
- Your Drayton programmer counts the days since your boiler was last serviced. It must be serviced again within 365 days of the last service. When you have 30 days before the service is due, the programmer will warn you with a flashing light every day saying "SER DUE" and will also sound an alarm each day. You have to switch off the alarm each time it goes off. The flashing light can only be reset by us when the boiler has been serviced.
- If we cannot gain access to your home to service your boiler before the last day, your programmer will reduce the temperatures of your heating and hot water.
- Whenever your boiler is serviced, the programmer will be reset by the engineer.
What to do if your heating and hot water temperature drops very low
- If you haven’t changed the settings yourself, this has happened because you haven’t contacted us to come and service your system. Your Drayton programmer will reduce the temperatures of heating and hot water.
- If this happens please contact us to ask for your system to be serviced.
